Donald J. Giant, MD
Dr. Giant earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame in 1972 and a master's degree from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne in 1981. He earned a medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis in 1985, and he completed a residency in family medicine at the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in 1988.
Dr. Giant is associate director of the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program's family practice residency program, is an associate professor of clinical medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine and is an Indiana State Medical Association delegate. Dr. Giant has served in numerous leadership roles at Lutheran Hospital, including chief of staff, chairman of the credentials committee and board of directors and executive committee member. Dr. Giant is also past president of the Fort Wayne Medical Society.
Dr. Giant is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, the Indiana State Medical Association and the Fort Wayne Medical Society.
