Born in Brownsville, Texas, and raised in Seymour, IN, William P. Deschner joined Lutheran Health Physicians in January 2011 when his former group, Indiana Ohio Heart, joined Lutheran Health Physicians. Prior to joining IOH, Dr. Deschner was a cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI.
Dr. Deschner attended Wabash College. He was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Dr. Deschner, who serves as director of the practice's noninvasive vascular laboratory, led the charge for lab accreditation through the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories. In addition, he attends numerous clinical conferences annually to help ensure the most current surgical techniques are offered to Lutheran Health Physicians patients.
