J. Rod Gimbel, M.D., is a member of the Lutheran Health Physicians cardiac electrophysiology team. Dr. Gimbel specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the heart's electrical system, which can cause the heart to beat too slow, too fast, or irregularly. Prior to joining LHP, he served as a cardiovascular specialist - electrophysiology at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee.
Dr. Gimbel earned his bachelor's degree in philosophy from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He began working with Cardiology Associates of East Tennessee, P.C. in Knoxville as an electrophysiologist before furthering his professional training with additional training in complex ablation at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center in 2015.
Dr. Gimbel has contributed to several publications in medical journals, covering implantable cardiac devices and other topics.
