About
Rakesh Khatri, M.D., FAHA, FSVIN, is a triple board-certified neurologist who specializes in stroke, neuro critical care and endovascular surgical neuroradiology. Dr. Khatri brings years of clinical experience and training to Lutheran Health Physicians.
Prior to joining LHP, Dr. Khatri worked at Texas Tech University Health Science Center-El Paso, where he performed neurointerventional procedures and cared for patients with neurological disorders. He is also an associate professor of neurology at the Texas Tech University Health Science Center - El Paso and served as the medical director for stroke and neurointervention at Sierra Medical Center, The Hospital of Providence, El Paso, TX.
He has an active interest in research and has published in several peer reviewed journals in addition to extensive presentations of his research work at both national and international level. He has also co-edited a textbook "Complications of Neuroendovascular Procedures and Bailout Techniques."
