About
David Mohan, M.D., joined Lutheran Health Physicians as a family medicine physician in May, 2014. Prior to moving to Fort Wayne, Dr. Mohan worked at the Detroit Medical Center as an attending physician, caring for patients in outpatient, inpatient and hospice settings.
Dr. Mohan received a bachelor's degree in pre-medicine from Indiana University in 1995 and a master's degree in Applied Physiology from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago in 1997. Dr. Mohan also pursued postdoctoral didactics at Wayne State University School of Medicine.
Dr. Mohan completed research in family medicine, sleep medicine, geriatrics and clinical physiology during his training. He has a special interest in septic shock physiology, coagulopathy, autoimmune disease, malignancy, cardiac electrophysiology, neuroscience and hepatic and renal disease. He offers joint and tendon sheath injections and diagnostic and curative office surgical procedures for skin and soft tissue disorders.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Mohan is an equestrian, fencer, pianist and served as an arts producer/director and cinematographer. He was president of the French Alliance of Detroit for several years and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Fort Wayne Ballet. Dr. Mohan also is a member of Quest Club and Canterbury Alumni, at which he was a 1993 graduate.
