About
Robert Roether, M.D., is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon who performs surgeries related to the heart, lungs and major blood vessels. He is a U.S. Army veteran, having served three combat deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan with the 75th Ranger Regiment.
Dr. Roether graduated from medical school with honors and is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and Gold Humanism Honor Society. As a chief resident in general surgery, he was voted Michigan State University Resident Teacher of the Year. During fellowship training at Wake Forest, he trained in all aspects of adult cardiothoracic surgery with special emphasis on robotic thoracic surgery and complex aortic reconstruction.
